Credibility Interviews 

You may be asked by UKVI to attend a credibility interview as part of the visa application process in order to determine that you are a genuine student. You should be notified by email if you are required to attend one and provided with the location where it will be carried out.

The interview will be conducted through Skype with members of UKVI staff in Sheffield and you will be asked a number of questions, which may include:

• Your course details

• The reasons for selecting your course

• How you are funding your studies

• Your plans upon completion of the course e.g. your career aspirations

If you are asked to attend a credibility interview then you must do so, otherwise your application is likely to be refused.

Unfortunately the interview may not be local to Manchester and may involve some travel. It is also likely that your application will be delayed beyond the normal 8 week processing time if you are called for interview.
