Step 2: Report the loss or theft of your BRP card to the Police

You should now report the loss or theft of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card to the Police. You should obtain a Police reference if your BRP card is lost or a Crime Reference Number (CRN) if it has been stolen. You can report this in one of two ways:

1. Call your local Police force by dialling 101 from within the UK. If you have difficulty in contacting the Police using the 101 (non-emergency number), you can find a full list of Police forces and their contact details here.

2. Visit your local Police station in Longsight and report the loss or theft of your BRP card to the Police in person. You can find the location of Police stations closest to the University here.
