You will receive your physical certificate during your graduation ceremony. If you do not attend your graduation ceremony you can choose to have your certificate shipped to your home address. You will be prompted to select your preference when completing your graduation registration. If you choose to have your certificate shipped to your home address, please ensure that your home address is correct on MyManchester before the graduation registration deadline.
Only students who complete the graduation registration and opt to have their certificate shipped to their home address will be sent a physical certificate. If you do not complete the registration invitation before the deadline you will have 12 months from the date registration closes to request a physical certificate by emailing graduation@manchester.ac.uk. Otherwise, if you later wish to obtain your physical certificate, you will have to place an order on the Online Store.
Even if you have been awarded several months before your graduation ceremony takes place, your physical certificate will not be provided to you before the date of your graduation ceremony. If you wish to obtain your physical certificate before your graduation you can place an order on the Online Store.
The University of Manchester does not automatically provide official physical copies of transcripts. You will be able to purchase official physical copies of your transcript on the Online Store after the date of your graduation ceremony if you wish to.
Official digital documents (Certificate, Transcript, and HEAR Document) will only be made available on Parchment (Digitary CORE) after the date of your graduation ceremony. Parchment (Digitary CORE) is a third-party service The University of Manchester uses to publish and hold graduates' official digital documents. The service is not owned by The University of Manchester. The University of manchester issues the documents, but graduates sign up with Parchment (Digitary CORE).
Parchment (Digitary CORE) helps graduates securely receive digitally certified, official documents online and share academic documents with third parties, making it easier to verify academic achievements. For more information on how to share documents with Parchment (Digitary CORE) please visit our Verifications for Graduates page.
Even if you have been awarded several months before your graduation ceremony takes place, your digital documents will only be made available on Parchment (Digitary CORE) after your graduation ceremony. If you wish to obtain digital access to your official digital documents before your graduation you can place an order for these on the Online Store.
Please do not create an account with Parchment (Digitary CORE) before your graduation. An account will be automatically created for you once your documents are published and email notifications will be sent to your personal email address notifying you that you have new documents available.
A digital Confirmation of Award Letter will also be emailed to you in PDF format after you graduate.
A Confirmation of Award Letter is a less formal alternative to a certificate or transcript which includes much of the same information, such as your course, classification, start and end of registration dates, and date of award.
