‌‌Step 1: Report the loss or theft of your BRP card to the Home Office & Police Station

You must report the loss or theft of your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card to the Home Office (UKVI). You should do this online using this form. 

You will need to provide:  

• Your personal details including your full name, date of birth, and nationality
• Your postal address or your e-mail address
• The reference number of the BRP that is lost or stolen
• Where and when the BRP was lost or stolen 

You must also report the loss or theft to the local Police station where you are located. You should obtain a Police report or crime number which you should include in your single-use BRP application to return to the UK.
