• The rate of Student Finance you receive during a period abroad or on placement varies depending on where you go and what you do.

• Tuition fees are a reduced rate to go abroad or complete a placement year.

• Maintenance loans for studying abroad or doing an Erasmus placement are awarded on a sliding scale based on your household income, but UK or non-Erasmus placements are a fixed, non-means tested amount.

• You may also be eligible for the Travel Grant and the Manchester Bursary depending on your household income.
