Student Finance - EU Students 

Information for students from the EU who wish to apply for financial support from Student Finance. 

Key Information

  • As an EU national you may be eligible to receive a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance for the full amount of tuition fees charged by the University.
  • EU Nationals who have been resident in the UK for five years before the first day of the first month of the start of their course, i.e. 1 Sept, may be entitled to the full Student Support package.
  • Repayment rates depend on which country you are working in; if you work in the UK, repayments are deducted automatically from your salary. If you work overseas, you will need to complete an Overseas Income Assessment Form.

EU Referendum (Brexit)

The UK Government has confirmed that European Union (EU) students will continue to remain eligible for financial support in the academic years 2019/20 and 2020/21. The details of this announcement can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/eu-student-funding-continued-for-202021.  It has also been confirmed that EU students who have already commenced a course in the UK will continue to receive their funding for the duration of their course.
