Although the Library sites may be closed there are still thousands of resources and tools that you can access online, including e-books, journals and articles, and training and skills sessions through My Learning Essentials.
My Learning Esssentials is the Library's award-winning skills programme. Here you can access online resources to support with essay writing, presenting, critical thinking and many more.
My Research Essentials is the Library’s researcher development programme. Here you can access online materials and development resources whenever you need them.
For some courses students will need to access specialist software. Where this software is required Faculties and IT Services are currently working on this to make it more widely available where it is needed.
If you are having difficulties accessing the University network, or need advice and support with accessing online services we are introducing a single email address that you can contact for accessing online learning and assessment: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively you can also call (0)161 306 5544. The phone service is available 24 hours a day including weekends and bank holidays, where there is an experienced team waiting to help you.
We recognise that not all students have access to a laptop or Wi-Fi, or that COVID-19 may have affected your personal financial circumstances. If this is the case the University may be able to help. Find out if you meet the criteria of the laptop loan and WiFi access scheme.
